But its got a point, which is that i've made progress on my wheels. Well, one of them, but its enough to give me the motivation i needed to finish the rest over the next few days! I've gone with a gloss black centre and a polished lip. Inevitably when i get the tired fitted, they will get ruined again, but hey ho, they'll look good for now!
They'll all be sanded with 180 grit paper, to remove all the bumps in the lips, and most of the imperfections in the centres. The lips are then finalised and polished up, and masked off. I applied a good thick layer of primer but applied in light dustings as its only cheap primer, then painted in black the same way. Finally i removed the masking, 1200 sanded the paint around the lip to get it more or less even, and re-polished the lips to remove the light sanding marks again. This left me with some rather sexy rimmage!
