finally started to get my go kart parts together! I've had the tires sitting around for a fair few months now, i spotted them at a boot fair for £40, and didnt think i could afford them. At the end of the day i decided to offer the guy £20 and shockingly he took it! A brand new set of Dunlop SL3 race slicks in the wrappers for only £20! Steal!
Next i had to find some rims, for which i trawled eBay. After some searching i took the plunge on a set for £39 delivered, advertised as having no damage. They arrived and sadly this wasn't true, they were kurbed and scratched badly and had light corrosion to the inside. I complained and roped back £15, meaning they only cost me £24, thats better! So, £44 and my wheels and tires were sorted. I bought some sandpaper and paints for £10 and will be refurbing them soon.
So thats about it, for now i'm watching more parts and i'll update on them with the next post! For now, some pictures:
